Roles are a central part to CorEST best practices for Emissions Accounting. These best practices have sustainability and finance staff working together to deliver Emissions Accounting.
Sustainability staff focus on developing reduction targets, plans, and the initiatives required to deliver climate action. Finance staff collate and manage data and provide governance to external statements on climate action.
At a practical level Roles give users the required permissions in IBM Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) to do their required tasks and approvals.
Roles
CorEST, and the best practice Plans it uses to do emissions accounting, have the following roles:
- CorPlan Consultant
- Sustainability Lead and Team
- Finance Lead and Team
- Leadership Team
IBM Planning Analytics is an adaptive platform, and Roles can be adjusted to meet organisational needs if required. These adjustments post often happening as part of the Setup Plan. Also, if you have other tools to allocate and manage roles and permissions the IBM Planning Analytics Plan features do not have to be used.
Also, IBM Planning Analytics permissions may differ and be administered differently depending on deployment and whether your organisation uses IBM Planning Analytics for financial or extended planning and analytic tasks.
CorEST will work whether its teams across multiple departments or just a single user.
